Lauren Figueroa, Lauren Figueroa Interior Design

Lauren Figueroa Interior Design (LFID) is quickly gaining recognition as the latest up and coming design firm in West Michigan, furnishing and remodeling the homes, lake houses, and high rise condos of professionals in West Michigan, including East Grand Rapids, Downtown Grand Rapids, Saugatuck, and Traverse City.

LFID’s clients range from lawyers, accountants, and medical professionals, to university professors, business owners, and book editors, and they understand the value of time and a straightforward, transparent process. As the most reviewed interior design firm on google in West Michigan, their goal is to save you the headache, time, and decision fatigue that comes with managing a design project from top to bottom.
A recent client sums it up, saying, “Lauren’s design skills are fantastic, as you can see when you view the gorgeous photos of her projects. What you can’t see, and what is just as important, is that she’s a dream to work with. Lauren is energetic, positive, and always willing to go the extra mile when it means making a client happy. Can’t recommend her highly enough.”

Kate Wert, Moxie Life Organizing

Kate Wert, LMSW is the co-owner of Moxie Life Organizing, LLC, a full service organizing and coaching company. Kate and her team members emphasize utilizing a person-centered approach with mindful integration of client’s unique professional and personal needs, life history, and style. Her organizers specialize in household decluttering and organizing, downsizing, relocation services, estate management, staging, spatial planning, closet design and more.

Kate considers herself a master organizer with an eye for design and a social worker at heart. The most rewarding part of Kate’s work is when Grand Rapids natives reach out to her at a point of overwhelm and together, they prove that no matter the project at hand – “it’s manageable.” Kate knows it’s an honor to be in other’s homes and relishes in the rich history and stories that unveil through her work. She gets excited when her clients cast a vision and she can walk beside them to make it a reality.

Alyssa Turner Cairns, Alyssa Designs & Co.

Alyssa has loved interior design since she presented on it in 6th grade for her Dream Career Project. After two kids, three homes, and more gallons of paint than she can remember- she now offers interior design services in Grand Rapids, MI and online to help other busy moms create their dream homes on any budget!

She believes in the power of white paint, that every woman should know how to operate power tools, loves competitive cooking tv shows, and is always searching for the perfect pair of jeans. You’ll find her laughing with her kiddos Grace and Gavin, sipping a craft beer with her hubby Mark, or working with other inspiring women at her office: momHIVE.

Leslie Hart-Davidson, HDD Studios

Leslie Hart-Davidson is a nationally recognized professional interior designer, author, and owner of HDD Studios in Michigan. Leslie holds a B.A. in interior design and has nearly two decades of industry experience, but credits her family for the desire to enter the world of design. The Hart family practiced real estate flipping while she was a child, so her calling for home improvement came early.

Leslie lives and breathes interior design not only in her successful design business, but also through monthly live tv segments on WZZM’s My West Michigan. She has written two home improvement books full of snark and great content: Remodeling Your House without Killing Your Spouse in 2014 and her new release It’s Not Your Room, it’s You. Her next book is a combination kitchen design/cookbook titled Food is Love, due out late 2017.

The design philosophy Leslie adopted when she started her business in 2001 is straightforward: design is a democracy, not a dictatorship. This guiding principal helps audience members and clients better understand design language and the psychology behind how they live in their homes. Her innovative seminars include “Thing or Not a Thing: The Best and Worst of Today’s Design Trends,” “It’s Not Your Room, it’s You” and “Remodeling Your House without Killing Your Spouse.” When she’s not on stage or on camera, you can find Leslie happily pinning to her designdemocracy Pinterest boards.  and creating helpful videos for her designdemocracy YouTube Channel
